조선시대에 제작된 삼층 책장입니다. 주로 서책과 문방구를 보관하는 용도로 사용되었습니다. 책장은 선비들의 사랑방 문화와 밀접한 목가구입니다. 취향에 따라 다양한 형태로 제작되었습니다.
삼층 구조에 각 층마다 양쪽으로 여닫이문을 두었습니다. 옆판과 뒷판에는 넓은 범살형(凡箭形) 문살을 두고 한지로 마감하였습니다. 한지 마감과 띄운 다리 구조는 통풍과 습도 조절에 용이합니다. 문판은 오동나무 판재를 인두로 지진 후 볏짚으로 문질러 연한 섬유질을 제거하는 낙동법(烙桐法)으로 제작되었습니다. 단단한 나뭇결만 남겨 자연스러운 질감을 살렸으며 주로 사랑방 가구에 사용된 기법입니다.
재료는 백오동나무와 호두나무를 사용하였습니다. 오동나무는 수축과 팽창이 적어 뒤틀림과 갈라짐이 적으며, 습기 차단과 방충 효과가 있습니다. 호두나무는 밀도가 높고 내구성이 뛰어나며, 짙은 색감과 은은한 윤기를 지닌 고급 목재입니다.
앞면과 골조 일부에는 흑칠(黑漆)을 하였습니다. 흑칠은 방충 및 방습 기능이 뛰어나 목재의 부식을 방지합니다.
제작 수준으로 보아 왕실 또는 상류층에서 사용된 것으로 추정되며, 보존 상태 또한 우수합니다.

此为朝鲜时期制作的三层书柜，主要用于收藏书籍与文房用具。书柜是与士大夫书房文化密切相关的木家具，可依据个人喜好制作成多种不同形式。
书柜为三层结构，每层两侧均设有对开柜门。侧板与背板采用宽大的凡箭形格栅，并以韩纸裱糊完成。韩纸饰面与架空式柜足结构，有利于通风与湿度调节。门板以泡桐木板材经烙桐法制作而成，即先以烙铁灼烧木板，再用稻草摩擦去除柔软纤维，仅保留坚硬木纹，从而呈现自然质感，此工艺多用于书房家具。
材质选用白泡桐木与胡桃木。泡桐木收缩与膨胀性较小，不易翘曲或开裂，并具有防潮、防虫的特性；胡桃木则密度高、耐久性强，色泽深沉，带有温润含蓄的光泽，为高级木材。
柜体正面及部分框架施以黑漆。黑漆具有优良的防虫、防潮性能，可有效防止木材腐蚀。
依据其制作工艺水准推测，此件应为王室或上层阶级所使用，且保存状态亦极为良好。
This three-layered bookshelf was crafted during the Joseon Dynasty. It was primarily used to store books and scholar’s accouterments, making it a piece of wooden furniture closely tied to the Sarangbang culture of the literati. These bookshelves were produced in various forms according to individual tastes.
The structure features three tiers, each with double hinged doors. The side and back panels are fitted with wide beomsal latticework and finished with Hanji. This paper finish and the raised leg structure are ideal for ventilation and humidity control. The door panels were made using the Nakdong technique, where paulownia wood is scorched with a hot iron and rubbed with rice straw to remove soft fibers. By leaving only the hard grain, this method highlights a natural texture favored for Sarangbang furniture.
The materials used are white paulownia and walnut wood. Paulownia is resistant to warping and cracking due to its low shrinkage and expansion, while also providing moisture and insect protection. Walnut is a premium wood known for its high density, durability, deep color, and subtle sheen.
Parts of the front and frame are finished with Heukchil. This black lacquer is highly effective in preventing pest damage and moisture-related decay.
Based on the level of craftsmanship, it is estimated to have been used by the royal family or the upper class. The piece is in excellent condition.
