낮고 넓은 구연부는 살짝 외반되어 있으며, 몸체는 공처럼 둥글고 양감과 비례가 적당하여 안정감을 주는 형태입니다. 고려청자 항아리 중에서는 이와 같이 풍만하면서도 균형 잡힌 구형(球形)의 동체부가 비교적 드문 편입니다.
몸체 앞뒷면에는 모란문을 활달하고 힘찬 필치로 대범하게 철화기법으로 그렸으며, 양 측면에는 소용돌이 모양의 고사리 문양 귀를 첩화기법으로 부착하였습니다. 전면에는 담청색의 유약이 시유되어 있으며, 굽에는 모래받침의 흔적이 남아 있습니다.
12세기 철화청자의 대담하면서도 소박한 미의식을 잘 보여주는 수준 높은 유물입니다. 철화청자를 대량 생산하였던 가마는 국내에서 해남 진산리 청자 요지가 유일하며, 해당 가마의 출토품과 기형 및 문양 표현이 유사하여 이 유물 또한 해남 진산리 가마에서 제작된 것으로 추정됩니다.

此罐口沿低矮而宽阔，微微向外撇出，腹部浑圆如球，体量感与比例协调，整体造型端庄稳重。在高丽青瓷罐中，如此丰盈且均衡的球形腹部较为少见。
器身正反两面以铁绘技法挥洒绘饰牡丹纹，笔意奔放有力，构图豪放大气；两侧则贴塑卷云状蕨草纹耳。通体施淡青色釉，圈足可见垫砂烧制痕迹。
该器是体现12世纪铁绘青瓷大胆而质朴审美意识的高水平代表作。韩国国内迄今确认曾大量烧造铁绘青瓷的窑址，仅有韩国海南珍山里青瓷窑址。此器无论器形还是纹饰表现均与该窑出土器物相近，因此推测亦为海南珍山里窑所烧造。

This Goryeo celadon jar features a low, wide rim that gently flares outward and a spherical body with well-balanced proportions, creating a stable and harmonious form. Among Goryeo celadon jars, examples with such a full yet well-balanced globular body are relatively uncommon.
Bold peony designs are painted with iron pigment on the front and back of the body using vigorous, expressive brushwork. On either side, spiral fern-patterned lug handles are applied using the appliqué technique. The entire surface is coated with a pale celadon glaze, and traces of sand supports remain on the foot.
This exceptional work exemplifies the bold yet unpretentious aesthetic of 12th-century iron-painted celadon. The Jinsan-ri Celadon Kiln Site in Haenam is the only kiln site in Korea known to have produced iron-painted celadon on a large scale. As this jar closely resembles excavated examples from the site in both form and decorative style, it is also believed to have been produced at the Jinsan-ri kiln in Haenam.
