중국 고미술 감정가 3인...한국의 '중국 문화유산 경매' 현장 찾아 작품 직접 "감정"

다보성서 감정…"8m 서화 송나라 석각 그림·희귀 유물" 
제7회 다보성 '중국 고미술' 온라인 경매 오늘 마감 
김종춘 "향후에도 중국 고미술작품 지속적으로 철저한 검증"

중국문화유산 온라인 경매를 매달 진행하고 있는 서울 인사동의 '다보성갤러리'(수운회관 1,2,4층)가 중국 현지의 감정전문가를 초청, 감정을 의뢰해 고미술업계의 주목을 받고 있다. 

다보성갤러리의 제7회 온라인 경매가 시작된 지난 13일 천커타오 중국 상하이시 소장협회 상무 부회장과 우샤오화 중국 소장가협회 고문, 션지아신 상하이시 서예가협회 부주석은 직접 작품 프리뷰(경매에 앞선 사전 전시) 현장을 찾아 직접 작품을 살펴보았다. 

이번 온라인경매에 다보성갤러리는 도자(陶瓷), 먹(墨), 호박(琥珀), 비연호(鼻煙壺) 등 다양한 분야의 중국 문화유산을 망라해 선보이고 있다. 

이날 전시현장을 찾은 세 사람은 문화재 감정가이자 소장가로서 중국 내에서 명성이 높다. 

천커타오 부주임은 상하이 수집계의 유명한 서화 골동품 수집감상가이다. 상하이시 소장협회 상무 부회장이며 중국가격협회 문물예술품가격위원회 전문가, 상하이시 가격인증센터 감정평가 전문가 등을 겸하고 있다. 

우샤오화 회장은 1986년 6월 중국 최초의 성(省) 시급 법인 소장 단체인 상하이시 소장 협회를 창설해 2020년 4월까지 34년간 7연임 회장직을 하면서 협회내 최장 연임기간을 기록한 인물이다. 유명한 문물감상가이자 소장평론가와 민속

연구가이면서 문물보호와 비유보호 분야에서 업적이 탁월하다.

<경매 출품작들>

션지아신 부주석은 국가 1급 미술사로 상하이사 서예가협회 부주석, 상하이시 소장협회 부회장, 중국 문화부 예술품평가위원회 서화 감정위원을 지냈으며 지난 2009년 입국 명나라 문징명의 '강산주승도'와 청나라 재상 류엔의 서예를 감정했다.  

다보성갤러리가 이들에게 감정을 의뢰한 것은 국내에 중국 고미술 감정 전문가가 드물고 중국 유물이니만큼 중국인들에게 그 가치를 평가받는 게 옳다는 판단 때문이었다. 

현재 다보성갤러리에는 경매에 나온 작품 외에도 갤러리 대표인 김종춘 회장이 50여 년 수집한 중국 유물들을 다수 소장하고 있다.  김 회장은 인사동과 장안평을 통털어 자타가 공인하는 한국 고미술계의 권위자이기도 하다. 

이들은 중국 전통 문양과 18나한이 그려진 도자기, 용 두 마리가 그려진 도자기 등 도자기 4점과 서화 1점을 감정했다.

중국 고미술 감정 전문가들은 가로 826.3㎝, 세로 47㎝에 크기의 8m가 넘는 석각(石恪·934~965)의 서화 작품에 큰 관심을 보였다. 

이들은 이 작품을 송나라 때 활동한 중국 화가 석각의 그림으로 추정하면서 희귀 유물로 평가했다. 션지아신 부주석은 "이 작품은 소장 가치가 높다"며 "최근 일본에서 판매했던 북송 시대 서예가 황정견(黃庭堅)의 작품이 경매에 나왔는데 2억5000 위안에 낙찰됐다"고 말하기도 했다. 

또 천커타오 중국 상하이시 소장협회 상무 부회장은 청나라 건륭시기의 은 주자를 살펴본 후 “기러기 모양은 과거 급제에 대한 소망을 상징한다”라고 했다. 

김종춘 다보성갤러리 회장은 "이 유물들 외에도 공개하지 않은 유물이 많기 때문에 전체적으로 선별해 앞으로 많은 분이 보고 즐길 수 있도록 기획전시를 준비하겠다"며 "공개하지 않은 유물들에 대해서는 지속적으로 철저한 검증을 받겠다"고 말했다.

한편 다보성갤러리가 진행중인 온라인 경매에는 청건륭 연지홍 도화문 천구병(개별 판매), 청건륭 오륜도 봉퇴병, 명선덕 오채 용문 매병, 장태정 죽림칠현 먹, 청 호박 천계준, 청 박고도 비연호 등 희귀한 작품들이 올라있다. 

다보성갤러리 측은 "올해 말에 20~30점의 진귀한 유물들을 엄선해서 오프라인 경매도 진행할 것"이라고 밝혔다.

Three Chinese antique appraisers visited Korea’s 'Chinese Cultural Heritage Auction' site to personally evaluate the artworks

'Daboseong Gallery' (Suwoon Building 1, 2, 4th floor) in Insa-dong, Seoul, which conducts online auctions of Chinese cultural heritage every month, is gaining attention in the antique industry by inviting and requesting appraisals from Chinese experts.

On June 13th, when the 7th online auction of Daboseong Gallery began, Chen Ketao, Executive Vice Chairman of the Shanghai Collectors Association, Wu Shaohua, Advisor to the Chinese Collectors Association, and Xuan Jiaxin, Vice Chairman of the Shanghai Calligraphers Association, visited the preview (pre-auction exhibition) site to personally inspect the artworks.

In this online auction, Daboseong Gallery is showcasing a variety of Chinese cultural heritage items including ceramics, ink, amber, and snuff bottles.

The three experts who visited the exhibition site are highly renowned as cultural property appraisers and collectors in China.

Deputy Director Chen Ketao is a famous collector and connoisseur of calligraphy and antique paintings in the Shanghai collection world. He is the Executive Vice Chairman of the Shanghai Collectors Association, an expert in the Cultural Relics and Artworks Pricing Committee of the China Price Association, and an appraisal expert at the Shanghai Price Certification Center.

Chairman Wu Shaohua founded the Shanghai Collectors Association, the first provincial-level corporate collectors' organization in China, in June 1986 and served as its president for seven consecutive terms until April 2020, holding the longest tenure within the association. He is a renowned cultural relic connoisseur, collector critic, and folklore researcher with remarkable achievements in cultural relic protection and intangible heritage preservation.
 

<Auction Items>

Vice Chairman Xuan Jiaxin is a national first-class art historian, Vice Chairman of the Shanghai Calligraphers Association, Vice Chairman of the Shanghai Collectors Association, and a calligraphy appraisal expert on the Cultural Relics and Artworks Appraisal Committee of the Chinese Ministry of Culture. In 2009, he appraised Ming Dynasty painter Wen Zhengming's 'Rivers and Mountains' and Qing Dynasty minister Liu En’s calligraphy.

Daboseong Gallery requested appraisals from these experts because there are few Chinese antique appraisal experts in Korea, and it was deemed appropriate for Chinese relics to be evaluated by Chinese experts.

Currently, Daboseong Gallery holds many Chinese relics collected by Chairman Kim Jong-chun over the past 50 years, in addition to the auction items. Chairman Kim is recognized as an authority in the Korean antique industry in both Insa-dong and Janghanpyeong.

The experts appraised four ceramics and one calligraphy piece, including porcelain with traditional Chinese patterns, porcelain featuring two dragons, and more.

The Chinese antique experts showed great interest in an 8-meter-long calligraphy and painting piece by Shi Ke (934-965), measuring 826.3 cm by 47 cm.

They assessed this piece as a rare artifact, likely painted by Song Dynasty artist Shi Ke. Vice Chairman Xuan Jiaxin noted, "This piece has high collection value. Recently, a calligraphy piece by Northern Song Dynasty calligrapher Huang Tingjian was auctioned in Japan for 250 million yuan."

Additionally, Chen Ketao, Executive Vice Chairman of the Shanghai Collectors Association, examined a Qing Dynasty silver teapot and remarked, "The goose motif symbolizes the wish for success in the imperial examinations."

Chairman Kim Jong-chun of Daboseong Gallery stated, "There are many unpublished artifacts in addition to these relics, and we are preparing an exhibition to allow many people to view and enjoy them. We will continue to thoroughly verify the unpublished artifacts."

Meanwhile, rare items such as a 'peach and peach tree' vase, Tianqiuping (Private Sales), a rouleau vase of the five relationships, a wucai 'dragon' meiping, mark and period of Xuande, a gilded and molded 'Seven Sages of the Bamboo Grove' ink stick, a carved amber celestial chicken-form ritual vessel, zun, and a carved overlay red amber 'antiques' snuff bottle are up for auction in Daboseong Gallery's ongoing online auction.

Daboseong Gallery announced, "We will carefully select 20 to 30 rare artifacts and conduct an offline auction by the end of this year."
