북송 정요(定窯)에서 제작된 백자 병입니다. 넓게 벌어진 구연부와 가늘고 긴 목, 풍만한 어깨와 잘록한 허리를 거쳐 안정된 굽으로 이어지는 형태입니다. 목 양쪽에는 동물의 머리를 형상화한 귀가 부착되어 있으며, 고리처럼 말린 형태로 조형되었습니다. 이러한 동물형 귀는 도자의 격식을 드러내고 수호의 의미로 사용되었습니다.
몸체에는 첩화(貼花) 기법으로 화조문(花鳥紋)을 시문하였습니다. 뻗어 나가는 가지 위로 꽃과 새를 배치하였습니다. 문양은 별도로 성형한 뒤 기면에 부착하였습니다. 첩화된 문양의 표면에는 적, 황, 청, 녹색의 안료가 사용되어 백자 바탕과 구분됩니다. 북송대 도자에는 화조문과 같이 자연 소재를 다룬 문양이 자주 등장하였습니다.
굽바닥은 유약을 닦아내 태토가 노출되어 있으며, 굽 안쪽에는 '官'자 명문이 새겨져 있습니다. 이러한 명문은 관청에 공급하기 위해 제작된 도자에 사용된 표식입니다. 정요 백자는 철분 함량이 낮은 태토를 사용하여 맑고 부드러운 유백색을 띱니다. 얇고 단정한 기형과 길상의 문양을 특징으로 하여 북송대 궁정과 상류층에서 애호되었습니다.
此为北宋定窑烧造的白瓷瓶。器撇口，细长颈，丰肩，肩以下渐收，圈足。瓶颈两侧饰有兽首耳，呈卷曲如环状。此类兽首耳象征器物的等级与守护之意。
器身采用贴花工艺装饰花鸟纹。枝条舒展，其上饰花卉与飞鸟，纹样先单独成型，再贴附于器表。贴花纹饰表面施以红、黄、蓝、绿色釉料，与白瓷胎釉形成鲜明对比。北宋时期的瓷器中，花鸟等自然题材纹样广为流行。
圈足底部刮釉露胎，底足署“官”字款，是为供官府使用而制作的陶瓷所采用的标识，表明该器为官用瓷。定窑白瓷以低铁含量胎土烧成，釉色温润洁白，呈现柔和的乳白光泽。其造型轻薄规整，纹饰寓意吉祥，深受北宋宫廷及上层阶层的喜爱。
This white porcelain vase was produced at the Ding kilns during the Northern Song Dynasty. It features a widely flared mouth, a long and slender neck, broad shoulders, and a constricted waist that flows into a stable foot. Attached to both sides of the neck are animal-head handles modeled in a curled, ring-like form. These animal-shaped handles signify the dignity of the vessel and symbolize guardianship.
The body is decorated with a flower-and-bird design using the appliqué technique. Flowers and birds are arranged upon extending branches; these motifs were molded separately and then attached to the surface. Red, yellow, blue, and green pigments were applied to the appliqué decoration, distinguishing it from the white porcelain background. Patterns featuring natural subjects, such as flower-and-bird motifs, frequently appeared in Northern Song ceramics.
The glaze on the base of the foot has been wiped away to expose the clay body, and the character 'Guan' (官, Official) is inscribed inside the foot. This inscription is a mark used on ceramics produced for supply to government offices. Ding white porcelain uses clay with low iron content, resulting in a clear and soft milky-white color. Characterized by thin, neat forms and auspicious patterns, it was favored by the Northern Song court and the upper class.
